Our Story
The story of the national Laundry Love movement began when T-Bone, (Eric), a homeless man living in Ventura California was asked a question: “How can we come into your life in a meaningful way?” His response was honest and practical. “If I had clean clothes, people would treat me like a human being."
Laundry Love Fort Worth began when two friends got together and saw the need for a Laundry Love Movement.
Laundry Love Family
Each event brings us closer to people from our community who fight many battles alone. We get a chance to connect with them, listen to them, and make them feel valued and loved. The inspiring personalities, courageous stories, and hearts full of love motivate us to do more. In addition to free laundry assistance, we spread kindness and create an atmosphere of fellowship where strangers become friends. We offer free children’s activities in our Kids Club area. We provide a light meal, as well as snacks and drinks. At each event our client’s worth and dignity is acknowledged and celebrated in a stress free environment. It is a pleasure bringing joy to their lives.

A $25 recurring monthly donation will cover the cost of providing free laundry for one family per event. Families deserve to be treated like humans and have the ability to wear clean clothes. At Laundry Love we humbly appreciate your contribution

You are welcome to book an appointment for the event we host on the third Saturday of every month. Together with our dedicated volunteers, we are here to share your burden. For moms and dads don't leave your kids at home bring them along, and well keep them entertained at our kid’s club. “Being a single mom of not only my kids but my sister's kids as well and barely surviving on my income, paying rent and bills, and having clean clothes felt like a luxury I couldn’t afford. Prior to having help from Laundry Love, I could go months without having clean clothes or washing kids’ school clothes by hand. These past two years, I was neck deep in financial hardships, from being unemployed to having COVID twice. I’ve suffered the heartfelt loss of my poor baby. During that time, I found help from Laundry Love. They provided us with the comfort of having clean clothes. Laundry becoming my favorite chore, and I’m now part of Laundry Love’s family. We share meals together, and my kids are given the opportunity to create art with love and attention focused on them. The staff has also been very helpful with finding other neighborhood resources. They’ve been a great help.”

It's been two years being a part of Laundry Love's family. I'm a single adult with 3 young children in my family. Its been a blessing to be a part of such an organization. The best part of every monthly event is the wonderful fellowship and the chance to connect with other community members. There is always a loving environment which is refreshing to experience, even for my children. These events are something that my children look forward to attending every month. As you know, laundry can become expensive; the more you wash, the more expensive it can become. So that is another reason this ministry is a blessing to our family.

It's been a year with Laundry Love. At the time I contacted them, I was literally missing payments on other things just to do some of my laundry. As I have four kids, Jaylon, Jordan, Jaden, and Jii, affording laundry was a big problem for me. Laundry Love has really been a blessing to my children and me. We can now enjoy clean clothes, and I don't have to miss out on my bills. While struggling to fulfill my kids' needs, I was going pay-check to pay-check, with nothing to save and barely surviving, but Laundry Love has taken off such a huge burden from my list. I especially want to thank Mrs. Kelli. She is such a light and joy to be around; even when you can't make it, she calls to check on you and will send you a card to cover the laundry cost so you can still wash clothes. I love all the positive vibes and great conversations; they also keep my kids occupied while I wash, and let's not forget they provide food and snack. There is absolutely nothing that I don't like about this program or the people who help every one of us. We need more people like them in the world. It makes things a little bit better in this cold world. I am so grateful for this program and Mrs. Kelli. It makes you keep hope in a place where it's hard to even keep a smile on your face.
