Laundry Love understands frequent laundry cleaning is important to protecting the health of our community.
That said, coming to a laundromat exposes our community to a heavily used space. Follow the these guidelines to stay safe when washing your laundry.
Masks are no longer required in public spaces in Texas.
The CDC has announced that masks are no longer required ONLY for vaccinated individuals.
Laundry Love still recommends wearing a mask whenever you are in a laundromat or walking from and to your car for the best protection. We also recommend you get the vaccine as soon as possible
Be sure to include cloth/reusable mask in your laundry load as that kills off pathogens that might have stuck to your mask.
Laundromat surfaces are shared by many people. It's a good idea to clean your hands after coming into contact with commonly touched areas like washer/dryer doors.
If the laundromat offers wipes, please use them to clean highly touched areas.
The CDC recommends washing/drying your clothes on the highest temperature setting to kill all microorganisms.
If possible, wait for your laundry outside of the laundromat or in your vehicle. The virus is a lot more contagious indoors.
If you can, avoid clothes folding in the laundromat. Please bring your clothes back to your house to make sure that they don't pick up on any droplets that might have stuck on surfarces in the laundromat.
