The third Saturday of every month, committed volunteers from St. Christopher Episcopal Church and friends gather together to provide cost-free laundry services to those in need.
The story of Laundry Love began when T-Bone (Eric), a homeless gentleman living in Ventura California was asked a question: “How can we come alongside your life in a meaningful way?” His response was honest and practical. “If I had clean clothes, I think people would treat me like a human being.”
Our mission is helping those in need to restore dignity, respect and self-esteem "one quarter at a time". The third Saturday of every month, committed volunteers provide free laundry assistance to those in need. Every Laundry Love event is unique, in addition to free laundry assistance, we always try to spread a little kindness and create an atmosphere of fellowship where strangers become friends. We regularly offer free activities for the kids in our Kids Club area. Also a light meal, as well as a variety of snacks and drinks in a stress free environment. We have partnered with a local Laundromat to make available the laundry machines and space needed to serve this community. We see the Laundromat as a place where strangers become friends, people are known by name, and the worth and dignity of every human being is acknowledged and celebrated.
A $25 recurring monthly donation will cover the cost of providing free laundry for one family per event. Your support and generous contributions will enable us to continue to provide families in need, the dignity of having clean clothes to wear, a light meal and the fellowship of Laundry Love volunteers. Laundry Love Fort Worth is a 501(C)(3) Nonprofit Corporation
