The third Saturday of every month, committed volunteers from St. Christopher Episcopal Church and friends gather together to provide cost-free laundry services to those in need. During COVID time, we continued to support our community by socially distancing dropping off laundry goods and laundry money cards.
COVID undoubtedly caused heavy damage to our Tarrant community. And yet, in addition to all the bad things that had happened, laundry still exists!
We have continued to support those in need.
We now provide assistance by sending out laundry cards to people we serve.
Our in-person monthly events have resumed in adherence to local safety guidelines to ensure well-being of volunteers and clients.
The story of Laundry Love began when T-Bone (Eric), a homeless gentleman living in Ventura California was asked a question: “How can we come alongside your life in a meaningful way?” His response was honest and practical. “If I had clean clothes, I think people would treat me like a human being.”
A $25 recurring monthly donation will cover the cost of providing free laundry for one family per event. Your support and generous contributions will enable us to continue to provide families in need, the dignity of having clean clothes to wear, a light meal and the fellowship of Laundry Love volunteers.
